How do i fix my VW Golf aerial when its snapped off?

my car aerial has snapped off! now normally i’d replace it or just screw it back on however….the thread on the base ontop of the car has slipped back into the roof of the car how can i rectify this?

You can get a replacement from Halfords or similar but you will have to get below the roof lining to be able to change it.
You should be able to leave the wire in place and swap it to the new aerial which will be a lot easier than running the wire all the way to the radio.
I would get the roof lining down, just enough to get to it, to have a look before you get the new aerial to make sure you get the right type of fitting.
