British Open Golf – What is the length of a day to play?

Why start and play what is not time of arrival at each a four-day competition, particularly for the 2006 championship? Why start and play what the weather is not finished in the four days of competition, especially for the 2006 championship? Does anyone know where this information can be found?

The first group for the first week in February starts at 6:30 and the last group starts at 4:21 pm ET to 21:30 usually takes hours to complete
