How can you make a golf cart street legal?

I found an article on this being possible. I’d like to know more, such as requirments. I live in Nevada, and can’t find very much for laws on it. Do you have to be of legal driving age? Do I insure and register it? Please give me any info you can on trying this.
It’s supposed to save a ton of money on gas and I’d just want it to go short distances.

I’m pretty sure you need to be of legal driving age to drive anything on the street. To get it registered you probably need proper lights and signals and register as a hobby type car. You pretty much have to insure anything on the road, and I doubt anyone will insure your golf cart for road use. Plus theres the fact that if a car doesn’t see you, you really have no chance. So the answer to your question: buy a car.

if you just want to go short distances just go for it and hope you don’t get seen by a cop. its like when people drive tractors on the road.
