There are literally thousands of places on the web for information on their sports news. If you want the latest news, scores in the second editorial, or in-depth analysis, there are a myriad of options for you. While some sites only offer one or two of these things, there are several that offer everything and more. My Top 5 are as follows:

5. Yahoo! Sports (sports.yahoo.com) – This site is all flash and no substance. The focus is the same as five years ago. This is not necessarily bad, just not knock your socks off. Any information you need is easily accessible and updated. Columnists are not as well known as the best sites, but are solid.

4. FOX Sports (Msn.foxsports.com) – A few years ago this place was a disaster. It was the anti-Yahoo! – All the flash and no substance. In recent years there have been watered flash and increasing substance. Living Gamecast the top of the page are very innovative. For example, for a baseball game, you not only see the score, but also an idea of what the diamond and the runners are on base. If you are interested in a game specific details can place your mouse over and get more. If Fox continues to innovate as well, not the number 4 for a long time.

3. Sports Illustrated (Sportsillustrated.cnn.com) – This site stands on two things – editorials and rumors. They have the best writers (was Sports Illustrated, after all) and do an excellent job of providing tons of content. Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback column is absolutely priceless. It also establishes a truth and Article rumors "for every major sport. It is essentially a compilation of all the rumors of local newspapers across the country. The best part is that it's free, unlike ESPN's rumors.

2. CBS Sportsline (Cbs.sportsline.com) – everything that is great about Sportsline – are often the first to news Gamecast are innovative and effective, and what it's worth the fantasy sports are the best on the web. Well, they are great at everything except editorials and analysis, and are horrible at that. Tony Mejia, Dennis Dodd, Pete Prisco, and Greg Doyle are the worst group of sports journalists on the web. Where are the editorials of their personalities TV Jim and Billy Packer, Nantes? ESPN and FOX manage their air personality to write, maybe CBS should consider it. Read the comments at the bottom each article of one of the authors above and understand that I am not the only one who thinks they are horrible.

1. ESPN (www.espn.com) – which always ahead of the curve in all material respects. They are the world leader in sport and show no signs of abating the crown on the web. Congratulations for your great personality – John Clayton, Steven A. Smith, Barry Melrose, and Peter Gammons – to write good articles regularly. The only drawback is that too much information is hidden in the service charge "of Executives" of ESPN. It is frustrating to read a title, click, and then realize that you can not read the story because you have to pay for it.
