the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun…?
I own 25 floating vacation weeks through Palace Resorts Moon Palace Golf and Spa resort in Cancun. I am ready to sell them but am not sure the best way to go about doing this. I have spoken with one agent with a large online timeshare resale company. She told me the fair market value is $20,000 for the weeks. I would be willing to sell them for even less than that. She encouraged me not to. What is the best thing to do? It is a flat fee to list and sell with them and there is no expiration to the listing. Is this a good way to sell the weeks? Though I absolutely love the resort, there are some pressing circumstances and I would l just like to pass them along at this point in my life.
What to do?
I would sell them as single weeks. Nobody is going to be able to afford all 25 weeks nor would they probably have the time to go. I always see timeshare places on ebay. I’m not sure how many people can go with what you have. You can list them with the company, but I’m sure they are going to want commissions or something of the sort. Let’s say two people can go…well if you sell them at one week at a time you will sell them a lot easier. You could make great money off of them if you did it right. There are always people asking about cheap places to stay in CancĂșn and especially during the spring break season. You could sell them for around $1000 a week (if two people can go) and I’m sure you would be able to get rid of them all. That’s my suggestion, but I’m really not sure how you would feel about doing it that way. Good luck to you.
